Coaching Opportunity &Winter Training

Evening all, 

We have recently been made aware that the Sunraysia Acadamy of Sports intends to run a swimming coaching course here in Mildura on June 8th (long weekend).  This 'Teacher of competitive strokes' course is a basic coaching course, being designed to coach/ develop junior swimmers.  This is a pre requisite course to participate in the bronze certificate course (which will be ran in Mildura next year). To attend the course you need to be 16 years of age but would not get your certificate to coach til you turn 17.  Prior to participating in the course you need a current WWCC, First aid and CPR course/ certificate. 

This is a fantastic and rare opportunity to gain this certificate here in Mildura. 

Irymple Swimming Club is inviting any senior swimmers or parents interested in participating to respond to us via email with an expression of interest by 20/5/19. At this point in time we are unsure of the cost of the course but the club would like to subsidize the cost for our members to increase the amount of people able to assist with training form time to time at our club.

We are also looking into winter training at the waves and ask that our members respond with a preference of night for training.  This will be decided on majority of preferences, pool and coaching availability.  This will not start til either late term 2 or start of term 3 due to pool works.
