Hello All

A reminder that the relay will be at Dareton this year. We are putting on a BBQ sausages, steak and chicken snitzeals. I am not going to do a roster just would like everyone to help with time keeping. Murray Darling will try and cover most jobs. Also a reminder that shields need to be back at the next SSI meeting, next week. Looks like this years weather conditions will be better than the 45 degrees we work through last year.

Please forward to your club members;

Hi Everyone,

Congratulations to all swimmers who qualified last night to go to Country All Junior's in Melbourne on the 17th-18th March.
Thank you for everyone volunteering; as we have less swimmers in this event and it is combined with proficiencies, we needed everyone there, thanks for your help.

All the information to go there is here: https://vic.swimming.org.au/all-juniors.html
I will enter all the swimmers that have qualified, except the ones that have told me they are not available. Please let me know if you can't come before next Friday's relay meet in Dareton.
Good luck to all the swimmers going to InterDistricts this Friday. Please remember to go to the compulsory training meeting for anyone going to InterDistricts on Wed.

Attached is the entry file to the relay meet, please send the entries here and to Teresa. Also attached last night's results and TM file.

  4. Practice!  Now you know the theory, it is time to venture out to pool deck at your Club or District and practice the skills for the accreditation module.
  5. Are you ready?  Liaise with your Club/District to be assessed in a practical environment.  There are Assessors in each District, alternatively this can be arranged through the Swimming Victoria.
  6. Feedback.  Talk to your Assessor about how you went.  If your Assessor deems you  competent, Congratulations! Once the paperwork is finalised with Swimming Victoria you will receive your Accreditation Card from Swimming Australia within 4-6 weeks.  If you are not quite ready to be accredited, keep up the practice and arrange another assessment when you feel you have further developed your skills.

Fwd: Program All Junior Eliminations

Hi,

Please find attached program for Friday night's All Junior Elimination.  Timed and untimed proficiencies will be run during this meet as well.

Any swimmers wanting to do untimed proficiencies, you can turn up on the night and put your name down with Diana Lyons.  I encourage our younger swimmers to do untimed proficencies - it's nice at the end of the season to receive a certificate.  Unlike the timed proficiencies you don;t have to do all four strokes.

Any questions let me know.

Robyn

Hi Everyone,
Please see attached the program for All Junior Elimination this Friday.
As this meet is combined with the proficiencies, it is likely that there will be lane changes and combined events.

Please check in on the night and write your name on the roster. We are usually short on volunteers at this meet, so please bring a partner or senior swimmer along to help too.

Diana Lyons will collate all the non-timed proficiencies on the night, so please make sure you approach her if your swimmer is doing un-timed proficiency.

Good luck to all swimmers in gaining a proficiency and/or qualifying for All Juniors in Melbourne next month.

Hi Comp. Sec's ,
Attached are last night's results, please forward to your club members.
Important: Wednesday 7th Feb. is the InterDistrict Selection meeting. It is as the Mildura clubrooms at 8pm. It is important that a representative from each club is present, preferably the comp sec and/or coach. (and the team managers)
I will be drafting a team selection before this meeting, and will need to know which of your swimmers are not available to go if possibly selected. Please advise me asap of the names of swimmers not available.

Thank you again to everyone helping out last night.
Last night was also District Championships. I will go over the swimmers that were eligible for District Championships and post the results for that part of last night's swim asap. Ribbons will be awarded at the next Pennant for the place getters of the District Champions.
