Relay Meet - Irymple Pool Friday 14th December

Hi Everyone,

The next meet is a relay meet at the Irymple Pool next Friday night.

As our club is hosting this one - we will need help with the set up and pack up of equipment.

We also will be running the BBQ so will need helpers for that and also Lisa Crowhurst is in Fiji with Hayley for hockey so will need someone to do the hospitality in her place.

Irymple Open Results

Hi Everyone,

Thank you to each and every one of you for all the help given prior, during and after our annual Irymple Open on Saturday.

It is a big meet to pull off successfully for a small club! We managed to do it and it's all because of the fantastic support we have within our club.  If you have any suggestions for next year - we would love to hear them.

Hi All,

Irymple Swimming Club are looking to put in an order for hooded change towels.  These are going to be in the club blue with the Irymple Swimming Club logo embroided on them.  The towels are good quality, very practical and come in small, medium and large. The prices are roughly between $35 and $45 depending on the size you choose.  We will need to put in an order of 10 towels to recieve the 20% discount.  Please check them out on line at hooded.com.au and let me know if you are interested by 28/11 so we can try to get our first order moving.

Irymple Open - Important Information

Hi Everyone,

The Irymple Open is our BIGGEST event of the year and our only fundraiser.

1. Entries - it is expected that all our members enter this meet.  The flyer is attached so please email me your entries by Sunday evening.   The committee is allowing our members who have registered as recreation swimmers this season to enter.  This is a fun and enjoyable meet for all ages and a great opportunity to give you a taste of competition.

2. Donations for the hampers for our gate prizes; 

 e.g. wine, biscuits, coffee, serviettes, popcorn, shortbread, jams etc.,  

If you are able to donate something - it would be great if you could bring to training on Monday or Thursday night that would be great.

3. Sponsorship - if you have a business that would like to be involved with the Open please see attachment regarding what's on offer - Sponsorship starts from as little as $50.00

4. Roster -  It is expected that even if you have recreational swimmers that wont be competing that you will still need to help out on the day.  There are a list of jobs below that need to be filled.  If you would like a particular one, please let me know as soon as possible.

Irymple Swimming Club Captains 2018-19 Season

It is time once again to consider the important issue of Club Captains for  the 2018-19 season. The Irymple Swimming Club Committee are seeking expressions  of interest in the positions from all swimmers aged 14 years and over. The  Committee would like to strongly encourage 14 years and over swimmers to please  consider putting up your hand for one of these positions. There is a brief description of the role attached to this email for your information.

 

It is also hoped that senior swimmers will form a "leadership group" to  work with the Club Captains in helping and encouraging new and younger members  of the Club.

 

Could all 14 and over swimmers please reply to this email at  itinker@bigpond.net.au to let us know if you are interested in the Club  Captain positions.

2018-19 Registration

Hi Everyone,

Just a reminder - Training Mondays 5pm - 6pm Mildura Waves 

Swimmers who were members last season by now should have received an email from Swimming Victoria with renewal information.  If not, please follow the attached instructions for renewal.

Current members - only need to fill out forms if any changes made.

New members - please fill out attached registration form, photography consent and medical form and return to this email.  You will still need to complete online registration.

Fees – for the 2018-19 Season are;

o   Competitor         $190.00  (15/under)

o   Competitor         $170.00  (16/over)

o   Recreational       $150.00 (15/under)

o   Recreational       $130.00 (16/over)

o   Non-Competitor $40.00 (parent)

o   Official                 $12.00

We strongly encourage swimmers who were recreational last year to join as competitors this year. If unsure at this stage, you can always upgrade your membership during the season.

Note: Your membership is broken down in to two parts, please complete your registration by making EFT payment to Irymple Swimming Club (details on instruction sheet)

Committee Members - It is a requirement that all committee members are registered with Swimming Victoria as this ensures our club is adequately covered for insurance purposes.

Register as a Non-Competitor if you do not have an official qualification.

If you have any questions at any time of any aspect about our swimming club, please don't hesitate to email or contact Robyn on 0438 110497.

If you know of anyone who may be interested in coming along and having a try, please encourage them to do so at any of our training sessions - they are most welcome.

We have set the date for our AGM - Monday 23rd July, 7.30pm at McDonalds Fifteenth Street.

Please note:  We are running the AGM separately to the Presentations (which we will organise a date when training recommences) and it is expected that at least one parent from each family attends the AGM.  

We value our families input in to the running of our club and would like to share some small jobs around.  No job is too big and you will have the knowledge and expertise of our long standing committee guiding you.  

Your help is always greatly appreciated.
