Irymple Open Roster/Entry Fees Irymple & Red Cliffs

Hi Everyone,

 

Please see below the roster for our biggest event of the year - the Irymple Open. 

It does take a huge amount of effort to run this properly and the committee relies on the support from all Irymple families throughout the day.

 

Roster:

Set Up: (from 9am) Dave, Clinton, Stephen, Shane, Richard & Patrick - others from 10am please

Coffee Run: Lisa & Tracy at 10.30

 

Referee: David O'Brien & Diana Lyons

Judge of Stroke: Clintom Williams

Starter: Shane Crowhurst (until lunchtime break) & Stephen Butler (after lunchtime break)

Computer: Robyn O'Brien & Andrea Williams

Announcer: Paula Phelan

Presentations: Jack Perry and Lauren O'Brien

Marshalling: Lisa Crowhurst & Nicolle Kelly

Chief Time Keeper: Lorraine Argus

Timekeepers: Butler-Kerridge, Bell, Gathercole, Williams

(we need 3 timekeepers for the duration of the meet - please share this fairly between rostered people -

 

 

Gate & Raffle: Karen & Olivia Costa (from 10am)

BBQ: Melissa Perry & Richard Neagle (set up from 10am onwards), Louise Williams (11.30 - 1.30) & Richard Perry (1 - 3pm), Shane Crowhurst (if required)

Hospitality: Kim Williams, Janel Carruthers

Pack Up: Everyone please.

 

If you are free anytime during the day, please ask around to see if anyone needs relieving from their position.

 

ENTRY FEES: Irymple Open & Red Cliffs Family Fun Day - All entry fees must be paid in person to either Andrea & Robyn on Saturday or Sunday.  Please see entry fee reports attached.

Reminder to all members: It is no longer the responsibility of the "Host" Club to set up and pack up at all SSI Pennant & Relay Meets this responsibility now falls with ALL CLUBS/PARENTS, please help out when you can.

If you are unsure of what needs to be done I have listed below to assist.

Chairs need to be brought out for Timekeepers and Marshalling

Blocks put in place

15m Rope put in place

Marshalling Board

2 x Tables for Computer operators

Printer, Extension lead, powerboard, Monitor, Pens, Blue box with boards in it

Starter system & tri-pod.

PA system brought out

Dolfin Timing stopwatches

Manual stopwatches

Lane Timer sheet need to be put on board and distributed to each lane

and then it all needs to be put away after the meet.

LAST CHANCE! Irymple SC Personalised Swim Caps

  

 

Hi All,

 

Thankyou to the swimmers who have already ordered Irymple personalised caps (Flynn & Oliver, Megan, Avalon & Madeleine, Shae, Kiarna, Mackenzie & Olivia) - please contact me if you have ordered but your swimmers name does not appear here.

 

Personalised caps are $20 each (the same price as plain caps) but require a mimimum order of 2 per name. (see our website for merchandise examples - www.irympleswimmingclub.com.au ).  We will not be ordering personalised caps again for a while but will have a good supply of plain Irymple caps.

 

If you would like to order personalised caps please email me with your details and the name to be printed.  If you have more than one swimmer in the family then having the surname would be more ecomonical.  Orders should be received by Sunday 30th November at the latest.

 

Payment can be made directly to our bank account (please put your details in description area ie. PCaps Paula) or given to me at swim meets or training.

Hotdog's in Rolls will be available at this Friday's 2nd Pennant from Mildura Swimming club for $3.50 each (plain or with Cheese & sauce/mustard, as well as the usual favourites, (pythons, raspberry twists, pop corn, chips, muesli bars, frozen crunchers, water and flavoured drinks)
•If you are a timekeeper/official who would like a hotdog delivered to you during the night please go and see them before the meet starts and they will arrange delivery to you.
•No BBQ will be operating

Irymple Open Update

Hi Everyone,

With less than 3 weeks to go our major fundraiser for the year is fast approaching. 

Sponsorship and donations are top of the list at the moment, so if anyone knows of a business who would be interested helping us out please print and hand them a copy of the forms attached and email me their details. 

We also need donations of items for our raffle baskets e.g. Xmas goodies, wine, or items related to your own business. Donations of fruit for hospitality would also be greatly appreciated.

So please email me with any details if you can help out.

PS A reminder also that there will be a Irymple Open meeting on Sun 16th, 4pm at the clubrooms, while the kids train, to do some further organising. Everyone Welcome.

Our regular meeting will be on Mon 24th, 7pm at the clubrooms.

Hello Everyone

 

Please find attached results of 1^st Pennant.

 

Thank you to all those that helped out on the night (many hands make light work)

I would especially like to thank Murray Darling computer helpers on the night who did a fantastic job and those who came early to help set up or stayed until the end to pack up.

 

Our Referees have also asked me to remind all swimmer of Swimwear rules.

Swimwear Rules

·         Unless otherwise directed by SV, in all levels of competition within Victoria, competitors may wear 'traditional' suits provided the suits meet the following criteria:

·         Suits must be of a textile material and may not contain any material such as polyurethane, neoprene or like materials.

·         Male costumes or briefs may not extend above the waist, or below the knee. Female costumes may be one or two piece and shall not cover the neck, extend neither past the shoulders, nor below the knee and may not utilise zippers or other fastening devices.

             Only one costume may be worn in competition. (No underwear beneath swimming costumes)

 

Currently Sunraysia swimming (who run all Pennant & Relay Meets with help from a lot of parents from all clubs) are in desperate need of parents becoming registered officials. (Timekeepers, Marshallers, Starters & Chief Timekeepers).  Please consider becoming a registered official to keep the sport of swimming active in Sunraysia.
