Australia Day - Thursday 26th (Breakfast and Training)

Hi Everyone,

The Lions Club of Irymple have asked us again to help out with the Irymple Australia Day breakfast at Henshilwood Oval.

We will be responsible for supplying the fruit and cutting it up, catering for about 200 people, in exchange the Irymple Lions Club makes a nice donation to our club.

We will need at least 3 families to help out, takes about 1hr and we usually stay around for the breakfast after.

We also will need donations of fruit, so if anyone is able to help out with watermelons, grapes, apples, rockmelons, etc. that would be great.

Last year we used 6-8 watermelons, 6 rockmelons, 10kg box of grapes, and 50 apples.

If you can assist on the day or are able to assist with the donation of any fruit could you please reply to email.  You will need to bring an apron, chopping board and knife.  Please wear your Irymple shirt too.

Training - due to the public holiday there will be no training on Thursday afternoon.

Thank you again to all for coming to last night's relay at Red Cliffs swimming pool and for volunteering your time.

To Clarify the 5th Pennant/District Champs again:

All registered Sunraysia swimmers can enter the 5th Pennant. There is no fee.

All qualifying swimmers (swam 4 out of 7 inter club comps) will be eligible for ribbons (District Champs)

Inter District team will be selected of qualifying swimmers with the fastest times from the 4th and 5th Pennant. Two swimmers for the individual events per age group, and a max of 4 per relay team per age group.

If your swimmer has had medical/swimming reasons for non attendance at inter club swims and would like to qualify for (Inter) Districts, they will have to notify the committee in writing for consideration.

if any of your swimmers have problems with their online entries, they should always contact 'entriessunraysiaswimming@gmail.com' directly with their entries before entries close. (in addition to their own comp sec/ registrar)

Hi Everyone,

Due to the council's mistake of double booking the Red Cliffs Swimming Pool, we had to change our start time of the relay on Friday.

A free community event is held at  the Red Cliffs Swimming Pool until 7pm. We will then dress the pool for our relay and will hopefully start our program before 8pm.

Everyone is encouraged to come early to have some fun at this community event before we start our relay. (bbq available at this community event only)

Secondly, we still have a few families not confirmed their availability for Inter District Championships, in order for the organisers to make a decision on what size bus to hire. Please forward your ability to either your coach/comp. sec or directly to me, if you haven't done so already.

A reminder for the 5thPennant/District Champs entries: they close the 29th Jan. 5pm

Lastly, Profciency entries also close at the end of this month. Ask your coach about this meet. Entries have to go via your club to Diana. (no online entries)

Sunraysia swimming has been offered a Bunnings BBQ (was called today) on Sunday the 5th of Feb.It normally runs 8am -4pm. With 4 shifts at 2 hours each we would need a total of 16 people.
