  3. Liaise with your club to attend a workshop for the accreditation module you would like to do.  Once you have done the workshop your details will be forwarded to Swimming Victoria so we know you are progressing with your training. 5. Are you ready?  Liaise with your Club/District to be assessed in a practical environment.  There are Assessors in each District, alternatively this can be arranged through the Swimming Victoria.
  6. Feedback.  Talk to your Assessor about how you went.  If your Assessor deems you  competent, Congratulations! Once the paperwork is finalised with Swimming Victoria you will receive your Accreditation Card from Swimming Australia within 4-6 weeks.  If you are not quite ready to be accredited, keep up the practice and arrange another assessment when you feel you have further developed your skills.
  7. Officiate!  You are now ready to hit pool deck and take the best seat in the house at events!  You can continue to develop yourself as an official and increase your skills by selecting other modules and becoming accredited in a variety of positions.

New equipment

Evening,

ISC has purchased some new hand paddles for use by all children at training, which you will start to see being used at the Irymple pool tomorrow night.
We have also purchased some flippers and snorkles to sell to our swimmers at a discount rate.  Due to hygiene reasons it was decided that these items were better off being purchased and used by individuals.  We have sourced the brands / styles that Mandy reccomends.  It would be ideal if all swimmers had a pair of flippers to bring to training.  The snorkles will start to be used more in the senior training but are definitely not limited to this group. We are offering these items at a discount rate of $35 for the flippers and $22 for the snorkle.
I will bring our current stock to training tomorrow night if anyone is interested in purchasing anything.  I can also arrange drop off or pick up at an alternate time if anyone wants to add these items to their Christmas stockings.

Thanks
Sianne

Irymple Open Results / Entry Fees / Sausage Sizzle

Hi Everyone,

Please see results attached from Saturday's Irymple Open.  Great job to everyone who swam on a cold and wet day.  Great job by Keeley and Hayley being selected amongst the 6 fastest freestyle swmmers.

Entry Fees - if you didn't pay on Saturday could you please deposit your entry fees into our account by the end of the week.  $5.00 per event (if unsure please ask)

Irymple Swimming Club
BSB: 633108
ACC: 1003 23534
(Please include swimmers name in the payment description)

Dave will be doing a sausage sizzle at training this afternoon and we will present the medals from Saturday.  Relay ribbons will be presented later as we combined and swam as Sunraysia for the relays.

Irymple Open - Thank you

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped out with the Irymple Open this year.

Thank you for your sponsorship, donations and support on the day without any of you - we would not have been able to pull it off so well.  Only being a small club we do rely on a lot of help from our members!  Everyone's efforts were fantastic!

It wasn't an easy decision on Saturday morning......  After getting the go ahead to move to the Waves, we had a call from the Manager to say it wasn't enough notice to his members to close the indoor pool for our use (needs at least 48 hours notice).

We did try to postpone it until Jan or Feb with the Broken Hill clubs but it was their persistence that we go ahead.  Once we made that decision - the team work was brilliant!

We have received some great feedback so far and a couple of great write ups in the Sunraysia Daily.

THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR FABULOUS SUPPORT AND HELPING THIS YEARS IRYMPLE OPEN BE A SUCCESS!
