ISC AGM & Presentations reminder

Hi Everyone,

Just a reminder that the ISC AGM & Presentations night is coming up on the Fri 13th May. Could everyone please send RSVP's to me by Fri 6th May.

As of yet I've had no responses for any committee positions, it would be great to have all the positions filled by Fri 6th before the AGM. Please consider and at let me know.

Important! All Parents of all swimming clubs, please read the following:

All swimming clubs in Sunraysia are part of Sunraysia Swimming Inc. (SSI) 

The SSI is run by parents from all clubs.

There are a large number of SSI Executive and Committee Members who have indicated that they will no be standing for their positions again next season.

We understand that nowadays people have so many other commitments but without a committee - we can not function and your children will not be able to continue to swim competitively.  

It is now time for parents to stand up and become more involved at SSI level.  If you would like to know any more about any of the following positions, please don't hesitate to ask either myself  or the person currently holding the position.

The AGM is on 25th May at 7pm at the Mildura Club rooms.  (nomination forms attached)

Fwd: ISC AGM & Presentations date and Nominations

Hi Everyone,

The date for the Irymple Swimming Club AGM & Presentation night will be Fri 13th May 2016 at 6pm. RSVP to Clinton for numbers who wish to bowl and pizza's before the meeting.

On the night we will be presenting trophies from the past season and as with every AGM all positions at the club will become vacant and a new committee shall be formed for the coming 2016-17 season.

I have noted some of the procedures required under our constitution below which we need to follow.

I wish to encourage all members to please nominate someone or yourself for a position. The club needs all members to put their hand up as the club needs to grow and continue on in the future. Please email me by Fri 6th May. I will keep everyone informed of the nominations I receive.

I will not be standing again as president again, my time is up, although I will be remaining as a member of the club as an Official, and will be available to help out where I can.

Committee:

9.(3) The officers of the Club shall be:-

(a) a President;

(b) a Vice President;

(c) a Secretary; and

(d) a Treasurer.

(5) In addition to the officers of the Club there shall be three (3) ordinary members of the Committee elected at the Annual General Meeting.

Election of Committee:

10. (1) Nomination for positions on the Committee shall be in writing, signed by two (2) members of the Club. The written acceptance of the nomination by the nominee shall be endorsed on the nomination form.

(2) The nomination form shall be delivered to the Secretary at least seven (7) days prior to the Annual General Meeting.

(3) If the number of nominations received for a position is equal to or less than the number provided, they shall be declared elected at the Annual General Meeting.

(4) If more nominations are received for a position than the number provided a secret ballot shall be held.

(5) Such a ballot shall be held at the Annual General Meeting each year. Votes must be cast personally.

(6) The Chairman may call for further nominations at the Annual General Meeting for any position where the number of written nominations are not equal to or more than the number provided. Any such nominations must be made by a member, seconded by another member and accepted by the nominee. The Chairman shall put the nomination to a vote.

Proceedings of the Committee:

11. (1) The Committee shall meet at least two (2) times in each year, at a place and time determined by the Committee.

(2) The quorum for a Committee meeting shall be more than one half of the Committee membership.

                 The 2016 Country All Junior  Psych Sheet and Session Report are now Available.

 

Please note Event 2, Event 15, Event 30, Event 45 and Event 60 are straight finals and will be swam on Sunday.

 

Please ensure you check this carefully and email any errors to  Damian.arnold@vic.swimming.org.au

 

Please include the following details in the email:

 

• Name
• Event Name and Number
• The correct time

 

All corrections must be received by 5:00pm on Monday 4 April.

 

Another email will be sent next week with further event updates.  Make sure you also keep an eye on the Swimming Victoria website.
