Club Championships & Training

Thankyou to everyone who replied regarding a date for the Club Championships.

The 2015/16 Club Championships will be held next Wednesday 30th March from 5pm - 6.30pm at the Irymple pool.  

Could you please enter via the online entries ASAP.  Some of you have already emailed the events you would like to enter when you replied but so that I don't miss anyone I would prefer that you enter online.

Could any swimmers who are holding a perpetual trophy from last season please return them to the Clubrooms on Wednesday or contact myself, Clinton or Robyn to make arrangements.

The last training session was held yesterday at the Irymple pool.  Thankyou to all those who have attended throughout the season and a big thankyou to our Coaches Amanda, Olivia and Chloe for taking the sessions.  We really appreciate your time.😀

Next week is the last week we can accept enrolments for the AUSTSWIM course at the Mildura Waves on the 19^th and 20^th of March.

 

We won't be holding another course in Mildura until March 2017 – if you have teachers, parents or students keen to gain the AUSTSWIM accreditation, this course is their chance!

 

The AUSTSWIM accreditation is the industry standard for Swimming and Water Safety Teachers and is delivered and recognised in each state and territory of Australia and many countries overseas.

 

We have a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process for AUSTSWIM Teachers whose Licence has expired, they only have to attend Day 1 and the reduced fee of $275 is available until the end of March.

 

The AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety course is available to all with a minimum enrolment age of 16yrs. Consequently it would be wonderful to share the opportunity with your community as the course leads to engaging employment for many.

 

For further details please see attached the course flyer with times and locations as well as an enrolment form should anyone like to enrol into the course. They can phone us on 1300 885 666 for any enquiries.

Due to our low numbers this year it makes no sense to book the pool for our club championships. We would only need 2 - 3 lanes and we could hold it on any date and time that suits. Fwd: T & I / Last Blast Roster

Hi Everyone,

Please find attached the roster for the T&I/Last Blast on Sunday.  Almost every family has a job this week due to entry numbers.

Just a reminder that there will be a march past for all club members prior to the meet commencing. Clubs please bring banners and members please wear club polo or jumper.

As this is our last swim meet for this season, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for assisting with the smooth running of our meets this season.  On a year that numbers are low, we have had to call on some people every week to help out - thank you for your support.  

A special thank you to Gaylene and Rupa and club competition secretaries for the number of hours that they put in before, during and after each meet and also to Diana, Teresa, Dave and Clinton for walking the pool each week.  Both Diana and Clinton no longer have children swimming but they continue to volunteer their time - now that's dedication!

Good luck to everyone for the upcoming All Junior Competition and School Swimming events!
